...I didn't name this a Gamers Blog for nothing. So, game reviews, away!
So, Zone 4 is the newest addition to OGPlanet's fighting game library, going along with two decent games called Lost Saga and Rumble Fighter. This is, without a doubt, my favorite of the fighting games. Why? I'm going to tell you right now.
First off, the graphics look really really nice. Lost Saga's cartoony graphics and Rumble Fighter's really kiddy graphics has no chance with Zone 4's really... 'lifelike' graphics.
Then, the gameplay itself. It has several types of game modes, an arcade mode where you can fight Player(s) vs. environment, but there are stages, unlike in the hunting ground mode, where it's Player(s) vs. environment, but it is more role-playing game-esque. Then comes the PvP modes, the classical deathmatch mode, selectable with team or single. I prefer team mode, but single is crazy. You could also fight other enemies with your team. And then comes the items. There are different types of items, too. Some items poison your enemies, hitting them, some items decrease your opponent's SP, also hitting them. Some even deter your opponents, freezing them with ice at the time or just overall hitting them with bombs or explosives.
Then comes the different types of fighting styles. Unlike that of Rumble Fighter which allows you to buy scrolls to make your style different, Zone 4 uses more of a promotion class; two types of 'classes,' Hold and Street. Hold has different types of grab, street has different types of hitting. I am afraid of trying Hold since I suck at those types, but I've tried two of the Street styles, Muay Thai and Taekwondo, both feels very different from each other. And the promotion person predicts that there will be more types of them too; perhaps more promotions from Muay Thai and Taekwondo?
Overall, pretty different from Lost Saga and Rumble Fighter. 10/10 from me.
