Well guys, I have decided to begin reviewing albums here on my blog, and my request to start off with was St Anger.
After a little break in the action from Metallica, they returned in 2004 with St Anger, the only Metallica album featuring Bob Rock I believe. St. Anger from start to finish is driven with "Anger", but to me it's just not enough. However the two things that just kill this album are the drums and the lack of solos. For the drums, Lars apparently used a steel kit, and it sounds like crap. Not just the snare, the whole dayum kit. And the lack of solos.....it's Metallica... | |
